How to check if a user has a menu option on as400

Get the menu pgm name from anyone that has the required option e.g ZONEMGR9 + pgm VIAGPVR

Vehicle Menus [Warranty Menus see below]

On MINERVA command line type DSPPFM FILE(DMAN) for Vehicle menus.

Do a scan F16 for your pgm name VIAGPVR.

If the pgm exists on that users menu it will display their name Y/N

To check type this to display the users menu on MINERVA, YGO MENU(mbutcher) FILE(DMAN)

If you want to change the users menu go to YWRKMNU FILE(DMAN)

Find your menu name and 1=Edit next to their menu (e.g. CMURRAY6)

Save and exit

WHEREIS on ATHENA to find DMAN (is it in IMXXXPTF or IMGVIGEN) ?

Then SAVRSTOBJ across to ATHENA in the appropriate library

Submit job for the evening at 10pm to dltf the old dman (see seperate note)

Standard Menus e.g. Warranty & Accounts

Warranty menus go here YGO MENU(£WAMENU or £SAMENU) FILE(IMGROUP) MBR(NDMENUS) - this is just and example change the menus name but not the file nor MBR !

Same rules to change the menu YWRKMNU MENU(£ND1000) FILE(IMGROUP) MBR(NDMENUS)

Save and exit

Put Live

WHEREIS on ATHENA to find IMGROUP

Then SAVRSTOBJ across to ATHENA in the appropriate library

usual switch for menus QGPL or IMZZBGEN - put live and then delete the old one (same as you would for DMAN in IMXXXPTF)

The one is QGPL is always higher in your library list !
