The following scripts run between 9.00 and 11.00 pm every night to produce the 5 daily Slim4 Import files which are placed in the file cabinet.

The files are then automatically moved to the SFTP server into the following folder

The files need to be in the above folder by 11.30pm so that an AS400 procedure called IMPSBDS4 can run and move the files to the Slim4 server in the following import folder location. The procedure uses a java function that is called with various parameters depending on which file is being moved. It basically moves the file from the SFTP server to the SlimstockShare folder renaming it and unzipping the stock file also.

After it has placed the files here it will move the files in the Slimstock Export Folder on the SFTP server into the HST folder. It is important that this happens before the next set of files are exported the following evening, otherwise the incorrect file could be picked up.

If there is ever a need to manually move the files into the SlimstockShare Import folder – they must follow the naming convention below as this is what the Slim4 import will be looking for. The Import starts at 3.40am so it is vital that the files are in place by then.

Once the Slim4 scheduler has successfully imported each file it will move and rename them with a time date stamp into the Archive folder – where they will stay for 2 weeks until deleted by a Slim4 scheduled task.
