dskmgmt.msc

For the example above the recovery partition will prevent you from increasing the disk space

To remove this partition you will have to run cmd prompt in administrator mode

Type in diskpart and enter

list disk to see what hard drives is in the laptop, desktop or server

Select disk (*number) that you want

List partition to see what partition that has been set for that disk

select partition 4 that is the recovery that needs deleting. (*PLEASE NOTE MAKE SURE THE PARTITION YOU WANT TO DELETE IS THE CORRECT ONE. IF YOU DELETE THE WRONG ONE YOU WILL BRICK THE COMPUTER)

(*Also if a recovery partition is on the left side of the C: Drive you will not be able to extend it. Anything on the right side of the C: Drive you can)

delete partition override to remove the partition.

The extend option should be available once your move the partition (Below is grayed out because I have not removed the side partition)
